Dr. Sam Lyness is a retired neurosurgeon. He holds a 50-ton master inland license with sail and towing endorsements.
This class is designed to teach the offshore mariner and even our Chesapeake Bay boaters to recognize and manage serious medical emergencies off-shore where communications and rescue are limited or not possible. On the Bay, your first responders may be 45 minutes or more away. Off shore, it may be days. Quick and proper treatment can reduce the impact of an injury and even save a life.
Lunch is included with the class.
Members must log in to register at member-discounted rate.
