We are a professional organization for Coast Guard-licensed captains across the Chesapeake Bay and along the Atlantic coast. We promote professional development and business opportunities for licensed captains.

Our captains operate charter boats, tour boats, survey and tow vessels, and ocean-going ships. Some provide instructions for new boat owners. Others deliver boats between ports. We have more than 300 licensed captains available to assist boat owners and dealers.

He began his sailing career in the waters of Port Jefferson, Long Island, New York when a school classmate invited him to race aboard the family's Soveral 26 in 1973. He raced locally in a variety of one designs and offshore in the local MORC fleet up and down Long Island Sound. He worked aboard the brigantine Enchantress for voyages during OPSAIL 76, and several classic yachts.

Following graduation he served 9 years of active duty with the US Navy, as a surface warfare officer, primarily with special warfare units. Moving to the DC area in 1997, he was involved in the Annapolis Mumm 30 fleet, and various bay and offshore races in boats ranging from 30 to 60 feet. Rob is currently the Cybersecurity Manager for an Army command and looking forward to returning to his roots by becoming a delivery captain during retirement and before, whenever he can find the time.
